The Chicago Bears face off against Drake Maye and the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football, aiming to exploit a vulnerable Patriots secondary missing cornerback Carlton Davis and relying on questionable safeties Kevin Byard III and Craig Woodson. With the Bears ranking second in sack rate and sixth in pressure rate, the key question is whether their pass rush can rattle Maye, who struggles under pressure but is also one of the league’s most elusive quarterbacks. Wide receivers Luther Burden and Rome Odunze, along with dual-threat running back D'Andre Swift, have a prime opportunity to capitalize against a defense allowing the eighth-highest catch rate to wideouts and significant checkdown yardage to running backs. Chicago’s own defense must clamp down on explosive plays after allowing the NFL’s highest yards per completion—can they stop New England’s deep threats and secure another home victory?
