The Chicago Bears’ pass rush is outperforming expectations, with Montez Sweat, Dayo Odeyingbo, and Austin Booker combining elite production and bargain contracts to power a top-tier defense through the NFL’s first three weeks. Compared to trio units like the Eagles’ Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Jonathan Greenard or the Rams’ Myles Garrett, Byron Young, and Aaron Donald, Chicago’s revamped group offers unmatched value and more sacks per dollar. Dillon Thieneman emerges as the Bears’ top defensive back, leading the team in tackles and dispelling the myth that a safety topping the stat sheet is a bad sign. Drawing parallels to defenses anchored by stars like Troy Polamalu, Reed Blankenship, and Kevin Byard, Thieneman makes impact plays at the line of scrimmage and across the field.
